Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 38 runs in the second T20I of the five-match series at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday.
Chasing a target of 193 runs, the Kiwis were restricted to 154-7 in 20 overs.
Middle-order batter Mark Chapman was the only New Zealand batter who offered some resistance during the run-chase with 65 runs in 40 balls.
Haris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan with figures of 4-27 in four overs.
Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan and Zaman bagged one wicket each.
Earlier, captain Babar Azam scored an unbeaten century to lead the charge for Pakistan.
Azam scored 101 runs in 58 balls with the help of 11 fours and three sixes.
Openers Mohammad Rizwan and Azam added 99 runs for the first wicket partnership. This was the 19th 50+ partnership between Rizwan and Azam in T20Is, which is the most by any pair in this format.
They broke the record of India's Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, who have 15 partnerships of 50+ in T20Is.
Rizwan scored 50 runs in 34 balls, which included six fours and a six.
Pakistan finished on 192-4 in their allotted 20 overs.
The home side leads the series 2-0 bearing in mind the fact that they won the first T20I on Friday by 88 runs at the same venue.
The visitors made two changes with Henry Shipley in for Adam Milne and Cole McConchie replacing Ish Sodhi, who had a calf niggle. Meanwhile, Pakistan remained unchanged for the contest.
Eight Kiwis are missing because of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and skipper Kane Williamson has a bad knee injury, leaving the captaincy to batsman Tom Latham — and providing plenty of opportunity for newcomers to shine.
The remaining three T20 matches are on April 17 in Lahore, and 20 and 24 in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan and New Zealand will also meet in five one-day internationals after the T20 series, honing preparations for this year´s 50-over World Cup in India.
The tour comes as something of compensation for New Zealand pulling out of their visit to Pakistan on the day of the first game in September 2021, citing security concerns.
The Black Caps played two Tests and three ODIs in Pakistan just three months ago.
